National Running Day

Whether you're aware or not, Wednesday June 3rd is the first annual National Running Day. Obviously, I would assume that all of you who are able will go for a run that day. If anyone is available, I would like to invite any of you who are interested to join our Wednesday group run here at NB. We're trying to make it a festive occasion here and would love to introduce the group (or at least some of the group) and its members as one of the ways NB stays active in the running community. For those interested in running careers, it might be a way to network with people from here to gain insight into how they got into what they're doing now. I believe there's some food and contests in the works, as well.

It will be a relaxed run, especially for you guys, probably in the 3-5 mile range. Would love to have anyone who's available there to answer questions about running, NBB, or whatever else people might be interested in. No need to make special trips in but if there are people who are local and would be interested in joining for a fun group recovery day, please let me know.

thanks!
Dan

  1. Festive? Does that mean we should wear costumes? I think the theme should be "80s running". There should be a contest for shortest shorts and most neon outfit, extra points for wrist, elbow, and head sweat bands.

  3. Didn't know such a day existed. Cool. If anybody has been running slower than normally lately, you may want to check out an article I wrote today.

  4. I'll be there. Any of the Watertown folks want to car pool?
